Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
The fab lineup here dates back to when the kids in Edmonton were gearing up for a fabulous run and features Gretzky, Messier and Coffey, with two rookie cards of Wayne to tell you about first. One is graded ENM 6 by KSA, with a centering issue holding it back, while a side-to-side crease contributes to a mark of VGE 4 for the other. Four is the total of Mark Messier ’80-81 RCs, all with good or decent centering and led by a NMM 8 example. Two others are at NM 7, with the last just behind at ENM+ 6.5. A Paul Coffey rookie from ’81-82 merited a mark of NMM 8, while two second-year OPC Gretzkys complete the ensemble. Both are well-centered and labelled NM+ 7.5. Fantastic memories for Oilers fans at the sight of these and a swell opportunity for graded card enthusiasts.
