Originally selected 44th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Nikolai Kulemin, a product of Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the Russian Super League, would go on to play a total of 669 games in the National Hockey League with both Toronto and the New York Islanders before returning to Russia and the KHL in 2018. Having represented Russia at all major international competitions and winning gold at both the 2012 and 2014 IIHF World Championship, offered here is this Toronto Maple Leafs third jersey worn by Kulemin at during the 2011-12 season. Made by Reebok, a lone size "58" label is affixed to the inner collar while the crests of both the NHL and Reebok respectively have been added over the front and reverse necklines respectively. A classic throwback style offering based of Toronto's jerseys that were worn by the team between 1967 and 1970, the tie-neck style specimen is decorated over the front with a felt material vintage style Maple Leafs team crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" embroidered into it. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Kulemin's number "41" in single layer white felt numbers, "Kulemin" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Having had a Leafs team tag denoting the jersey as a "2011-12 Season Official Game-Worn Jersey" specimen, the piece shows good game-wear via board burns over both sleeves, a small cut over the right sleeve, light stick marks over the lower reverse, lower front and left sleeve and lastly, a small blue coloured board paint transfer mark over the left sleeve as well. Also showing a bit of light pilling on the outside of the right elbow, the interior includes the original fight strap and light edge fraying. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #133923157 (November 19th, 2011 vs Washington) to the small cut seen on the right sleeve.
