Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
A former tenth overall pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1998, Nikolai Antropov brought size,
reach, and playmaking ability to the team’s forward group. Standing at 6’6”, the Kazakhstani
center/winger spent parts of nine seasons in Toronto, known for his soft hands in tight and his
chemistry with linemates like Mats Sundin and Alexei Ponikarovsky.
Worn during the 2005–06 NHL season, this jersey is authenticated by a team LOA
identifying it as Set 2. While the size tag is no longer present in the neckline, the LOA confirms
the jersey as a size 58. Crafted by Reebok, this blue jersey features #80 on both sleeves and
the verso in white over blue and silver triple-layer tackle twill. “ANTROPOV” is stitched across
the blue nameplate on the back in white single twill. A Reebok crest is stitched above the
nameplate on the back neckline. TML shoulder patches are sewn on both arms.
Visible game wear includes a red transfer mark and faint stick mark on the left arm, additional
stick and puck marks on the right sleeve, and a black stick mark across the lower front band.
Inside, a fight strap remains affixed, along with two separate tag identifiers: a MeiGray Group
Game-Worn Jersey tag labeled for the 2004–05 season, and a separate 2005–06 season tag
sewn beside it.
