Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
He was traded for the captain of the Canadiens and now, he wears the “C” himself. Before
earning that title, Nick Suzuki entered the league like any other rookie: eager to prove he
belonged. His 2019–20 campaign was a pivotal year, one that saw him grow from a promising
young talent into a core piece of the franchise. Suzuki tallied 41 points in 71 games before the
season was paused due to the pandemic. Once play resumed, he emerged as a breakout
performer in the NHL’s bubble, tying for the team lead with seven points in 10 games during the
2020 Stanley Cup Qualifiers and Playoffs.
This Bauer Vapor FlyLite stick was used by Suzuki during that impactful rookie season with the
Montreal Canadiens. The stick remains in excellent condition, with no major slash marks or
structural damage. It features its original tape job on both the knob and the blade. The blade
shows subtle residue from plastic wrapping along the top and bottom edges. On the knob, a
handwritten “14” appears in black marker, and just beneath it, the shaft displays in factory
graphics “Suzuki” on the namebar, along with an 87 flex designation.
