Scoring nine points for Team Canada while winning a gold medal at the 2015 World Championships, Nathan MacKinnon has been selected as an NHL All-Star in each of his last four seasons, with The Hockey News’ Wayne Gretzky Award won by the Nova Scotian in 2018. This photo-matched Avalanche jersey was worn by MacKinnon while scoring his first NHL goal during his inaugural campaign in 2013-14, a season that included MacKinnon winning the Calder Memorial as the NHL’s top rookie. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a textured Aves team crest with embroidered detailing, “29” appears over the sleeves and verso, with matching alternate Bigfoot crests over each shoulder. A MeiGray patch numbered “K01402” is affixed to the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany, and according to the MeiGray population report, the jersey is a "White Set 1” example.
Great game use is exhibited on the desirable sweater, with dark marks over the front and sleeves, with a few very small holes resulting from board burns on and near the left elbow and a small slit near the right cuff. There are also team repairs present, with two over the left sleeve and four on the right. Getty Image #184237749, from Oct 12, 2013 (vs Washington, the game he scores his 1st NHL goal) has been matched to the blue loose thread in the middle of the "9" of "29" on the right sleeve, while Getty Image #185578645 (Oct 21, 2013) has been matched to the blue loose thread in the middle of the "9" of "29" on the right sleeve, to the two loose grey threads on the left edge of the "2" on the same sleeve and to the team repair closest in proximity to the “29” along with the repair closest to the cuff.
