Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
A product of the Moose Jaw Warriors in the WHL who was drafted 5th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Morgan Rielly has played the entirety of his National Hockey League career with the Maple Leafs thus far and recently skated in his 800th NHL game as of this writing. Helping Team Canada to gold at the 2016 IIHF World Championship, offered here is this Maple Leafs jersey worn by Rielly during game six (6) of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Tampa Bay Lightning on April 29th, 2023. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both "Made in Canada" and size "58" designations is affixed to the inner collar above a heat-pressed on Leafs team inventory barcode. Decorated over the front and reverse necklines with the crests of the NHL and Adidas respectively, the front of the jersey is styled with a Maple Leafs team crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" embroidered into it. Sporting the distinguished alternate captain's "A" over the left breast and a heat-pressed on "Milk" sponsorship logo over the right breast, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Rielly's number "44" in single layer blue tackle twill numerals while "Reilly" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Retaining its fight strap on the interior which has been marked with "TBL GM 6" in blue marker ink, a Catstitch logo is heat pressed on above it. Worn for the entirety of a single game that saw Morgan register an assist in a 2-1 overtime victory that won Toronto the series, the jersey shows wear via light stick marks over the front and both sleeves as well as blue coloured board paint transfers and light board burns over the left forearm. Accompanied by a Maple Leafs COA, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #1252362670 (April 29th, 2023 vs Tampa Bay - Eastern Conference Quarter Finals Game 6) to the blue coloured board paint transfers over the left forearm.
