Superb vintage panoramic team photo of the 1930-31 Montreal Canadiens was produced by the famed Rice Studio. Star scorers Howie Morenz and Aurele Joliat flank goalie George Hainsworth in the middle of this vintage panoramic print. This magnificent panoramic photo of the first Canadiens team to win consecutive Stanley Cups features Habs players sporting a "World Champions" patch on their left sleeve. This “Canadiens 1930-31” team photo with “Rice Photo Montreal” in the bottom right and facsimile autographs beneath everyone pictured displays to 6” x 29 3/4" as mounted in a white matte. Wonderfully preserved, it is displayed in a 9 5/8" x 33 5/8" wood frame.
Habs players pictured left to right are: Lepine, Rivers, Leduc, Larochelle, Wasnie, Joliat, Hainsworth, Morenz, Gagnon, Burke, Sylvio Mantha, Georges Mantha and Lesieur. GM Leo Dandurand and coach Cecil Hart are pictured on opposite ends, as are trainers McKenna and Dufour.
Very small pieces of the image are missing, almost all of which are along the bottom edge with only the facsimile signature of Mondou the most affected. There is a small blemish in the area of the upper wall behind and between the heads of Gagnon and Burke.
