Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Taken 4th overall at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Mitch Marner has played the entirety of his National Hockey League career with the Maple Leafs thus far, registering 661 points over the course of 594 games played in the league as of this writing. Named to the NHL All-Star Game on three (3) occasions (2020, 2023 and 2024), offered here is this Maple Leafs jersey worn by Marner during game four (4) against the Boston Bruins in the first (1st) round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both "Made in Canada" and size "54" designations is affixed to the inner collar above a heat-pressed on Leafs team inventory barcode. Decorated over the front and reverse necklines with the crests of the NHL and Adidas respectively, the front of the jersey is styled with a Maple Leafs team crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" embroidered into it. Sporting the distinguished alternate captain's "A" over the left breast and a heat-pressed on "Milk" sponsorship logo over the right breast, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Marner's number "16" in single layer white tackle twill numerals while "Marner" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Retaining its fight strap on the interior which has had "BOS GM 4" penned to it in blue marker ink, a Catstitch logo appears heat pressed above while a Borje Salming memorial logo is heat pressed directly to the strap itself. Worn for the entirety of a single game that saw Mitch register a goal in the third (3rd) period, the jersey shows game-wear via stick marks, board burns and a tiny unrepaired hole over the right sleeve plus additional small board burns over the front hem. Accompanied by a matching Leafs LOA which mentions erroneously that the jersey was worn in game 6, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #2150745262 (April 27th, 2024 vs Boston - 2024 Stanley Cup Quarterfinals Game 4) to the stick mark through the "6" of the right sleeve.
