Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
Playing his college hockey at Michigan State, Mike York was drafted by the Rangers in 1997 and skated for six different clubs throughout his NHL career. This Edmonton Oilers Third jersey was worn by York in 2003-04. Elite and sizing labels (54) are affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and KOHO crests on the bottom hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with the alternate Oilers team crest that features a textured surface, the navy V-neck jersey has been accented with tri-layer tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. The 25th anniversary crest resides just above the right breast. There are puck marks to the lower front and a stick mark across the team crest, with additional dark marks to both sleeves and a couple board burns to the left elbow. A MeiGray patch residing near the team patch is numbered "B03544", and according to the population report, the jersey is a "Third Set 2" specimen.
