Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Beginning his Hall of Fame career with a season in the WHA with Birmingham in 1978-79, Michel Goulet was drafted by Quebec in 1979 and spent 11 seasons with the Nordiques followed by additional time with the Chicago Blackhawks before an injury forced him into retirement. A two-time Canada Cup champion with Team Canada who was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998, offered here is this stick used by Goulet as a member of the Blackhawks during the 1992-93 season. A Titan TPM 2020 model twig with "M. Goulet" stamped over the lower shaft, Goulet's number "16" is penned over the upper shaft in black marker ink while a date stamp reading "21 AOUT 1992" is found on the underside of the lower shaft. Retaining its original red tape job around the shaved down shaft and knob plus its black wrapping around the blade, the stick displays with good evidence of game-use including numerous marks and abrasions throughout, a shaved down lower shaft, marks over both sides of the blade tape, including a number of cuts/rips over the forehand side and wear to the underside of the blade tape as well. Having had "2-001" stamped just above the heel on the underside of the shaft, the stick also stick displays with its original foil accent sticker around the lower shaft as well.
