Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
Offered here is this Canadiens jersey with the centennial patch worn for a portion of the 2009-10 season by forward Max Lapierre. Made by Reebok and sporting a size "56" flag tag affixed to the inner collar, a "1" has been penned above the tag in black marker ink to denote the piece as being a set one (1) offering. Accented over the front and reverse necklines with logo patches of the NHL and Reebok respectively, the front of the garment has been decorated with Montreal's famed "CH" crest in layered tackle twill that also features embroidered details while the centennial crest that the Canadiens wore on their sweaters throughout the milestone campaign rests atop of the right shoulder. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Lapierre’s number "40" in dual layer white-over-blue tackle twill numerals, "Lapierre" has been spelled out in single layer tackle twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Light game wear displayed includes a board burn on the right sleeve’s blue band and pilling on the white stripes on the sleeves. Having had a Canadiens team tag numbered "A01732" sewn inside the reverse hem and a Habs hologram numbered "GW29552" affixed to the bottom of the "0" on the reverse, both of these match what is affixed to/listed in the accompanying Canadiens LOA.
