Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2025
Selected with the No. 1 pick in the 1989 NHL Draft by the Quebec Nordiques, Mats Sundin spent the bulk of his career with Toronto and remains the Maple Leafs’ all-time leader in goals (420) and points (987) to this day. Sweden’s second player elected to the Hall of Fame and first to score 500 goals, Sundin has signed his Team World All-Stars captain’s jersey from the 2002 NHL All-Star Game in Los Angeles in bold black marker in the middle of the “1” on the back of his No. 13 jersey worn for the ASG photo shoot. Sweden flag patch is sewn on the left shoulder and a Maple Leafs patch is sewn on the right shoulder while the 2002 ASG patch is sewn on the right breast. Size 58 flag tag hangs from the bottom of the Made in Canada flag tag in the back of the neck and the NHLPA and NHL logos are embroidered on the right rear hem. The 2002 ASG logo is on the patch sewn on the fight strap anchor inside the jersey and the “AAB097” patch sewn directly onto the fight strap denotes the jersey was worn for the photo shoot. This jersey was acquired from a McDonald's Canada executive through the NHL's All-Star Game relationship with the "Ronald McDonald House Charities" and it remains in near-pristine condition. Comes with an NHL/NHLPA COA.
