Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
Registering a record of 41-23-9 with nine shutouts, a .914 save percentage and a 2.02 goals against average, Martin Brodeur would lead the New Jersey Devils to a Stanley Cup championship during the 2002-03 season - his third - while also claiming the first Vezina Trophy of his career. Finishing third in Hart Memorial Trophy voting at the conclusion of the 2002-03 season, offered here we have a small display featuring a puck signed by Broduer that was used in Game 1 of the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals on May 27th, at Continental Airlines Arena, in which the Devils won by a score of 3-0 and Brodeur earned a shutout, placed with a swatch of netting used in a goal net during the Finals in Devils home games. The puck displays the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals logo over the front along with "Stanley Cup Finals" and "Game One" above and below along with an NHL shield logo, with Brodeur signing in silver marker. A hologram has been affixed alongside the signature.
The swatch of net measures roughly 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" with a hologram wrapped around one string. Framed in a black coloured thick 9" x 11" shadowbox, both pieces of memorabilia are accompanied by COA's from GamePucks, with an additional Steiner COA for the Broduer signature.
