Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

The first time teams would be divided by nationality, the 1998 NHL All-Star Game took place in Vancouver at General Motors Place, with the North American squad pulling out a slim victory over the World Team, 8-7. Netminder Martin Brodeur would be making his third consecutive All-Star Game appearance, with this Team North America jersey one of five issued to Martin for either the official photo shoot, pre-game warm-up or for use in one of the three periods. A CCM “Goalie Style” label and “58” size tag are affixed to the collar, with CCM, NHL and NHLPA crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with a partially-embroidered NHL shield crest in black and silver, the garment has been accented with oversized triple-twill numbers, along with an American flag over the right breast. The right shoulder features the ’98 All-Star Game patch, while the left sports a Devils team crest.
An NHL inventory number of “HIJ177” has been sewn directly onto the fight strap, with the jersey in beautiful condition, with just a few faint marks over the left sleeve’s white band.
