Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
The only individual in history to have won the Stanley Cup as both a player and owner, Mario Lemieux may have also been the most talented. Bobby Orr himself has called Mario "the most talented player I've ever seen." Hailing from the collection of Tommy Plasko and originating from his Art Ross, Hart Memorial and Lester B. Pearson Trophy-winning season of 1995-96, we have a signed stick used by the one and only Mario Lemieux. A preferred KOHO Revolution model, “Lemieux” appears stamped-on, with the original tape over the blade and handle in place. Good use is exhibited, with wear to the underside of the blade along with a few marks to the lower shaft. Lemieux has signed over the lower shaft, and the signature displays well. Comes with a COA.
We should note that a sticky substance is present along the underside of the shaft for most of the length. There is also a hologram that has been affixed from Double Deke Hockey.
