Enjoying a lengthy seventeen-season career played entirely in Pittsburgh with ten NHL All-Star Game appearances, Mario Lemieux also represented Canada throughout his professional tenure which included scoring the series-winning goal at the 1987 Canada Cup. Honouring his time wearing the mighty maple leaf, we have a signed Team Canada jersey number display accompanied by a signed Penguins captain’s jersey. First, the framed display with COA affixed to the reverse includes “66” in tackle twill over the right, with inserted photo, crest, name plaque and pins, with Mario signing the second “6” in black marker, framed to approx 24” x 27”. The jersey was produced by Reebok with “52” sizing along with a tackle twill team crest and numbers. Mario has signed the second reverse “6” in thin black ink, with no issues for the autograph. Originating from Bryan Trottier’s personal collection, an LOA signed by the HOFer will accompany.
A hologram has been affixed to the frame, with a COA affixed to the reverse as mentioned. The jersey exhibits light wear with point-of-sale tags still attached. We should also note that the accompanying Bryan Trottier LOA mentions two jerseys when originally sold, with the lot now containing only the Lemieux-signed jersey.
