Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
A single Maple Leaf Gardens "gold" seat is up for grabs for those collectors who are kicking themselves for missing out when these precious souvenirs were originally put up for sale by the team. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to uncover the fact that this "gold" No. 10 seat used to be a "red", as clearly evidenced by paint chips on the left hand metal armrest (the right hand armrest is a replacement made of wood). Mounted on a wooden base with a plaque reading "1931-1999, Maple Leaf Gardens, Memories and Dreams", the plaque is also stamped “20-054”. There is a small area of material loss on the seat rest but this is not a hole that goes completely through the material. There is also a small brown stain, and general wear to the seat and rest, with additional wear to the components where the seat is mounted to the base. There is also a scuff mark to the base. A COA from Maple Leaf Gardens will accompany.
