Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/21/2022
Making the trajectory of the puck unpredictable and a threat to the plethora of maskless netminders that roamed creases throughout the mid-1960s, Bobby Hull used heavily curved sticks referred to as “Banana Curves” during the era, with current NHL Rule 10.1 stating a curve no greater than three-quarters-of-an-inch can be used. This “Banana Curve” stick was used by the superstar during the mid-1960s. A Northland Custom Pro Glass Fused model, “B Hull” appears stamped over the upper shaft, with additional stamps from team supplier Gonzo’s over each side. The original black tape is in place over the blade and shaved handle/knob, with nice game-use exhibited on the desirable lumber, with wear to the taped section of blade including the underside, and some toning, wear and marks to the shaft.
