Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Serving as Ottawa Senators team captain during the 2013-14 NHL season, Jason Speeza spent eleven seasons in the nation’s capital, and he’s currently in his fifth season in Dallas. We have a trio of sticks used by Speeza during the 2000s with the Ottawa Senators, with each a slightly-differing Sher-Wood model, along with a pair of gloves issued to the superstar. Included are a pair of SOP 9950 models (one in solid black, the other solid white), along with a Rhythm19 model, with “Speeza” over the upper shafts, with matching white tape over both the handles and blades of each. All three sticks show heavy use with numerous puck marks and considerable wear to the shafts and graphics, with the blade cracked beneath the tape on the solid black SOP 9950 model. The Sher-Wood Rekker gloves are also in solid black with red interiors, with Jason’s Dallas Stars #90 embroidered along with “Spezza”, with no use shown.
