The 11th overall selection at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, goaltender Jonathan Bernier was a member of the 2012 Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings. Hailing from the first round of the 2017-18 NHL playoffs, we have a blocker and glove worn by the Colorado Avalanche netminder, with each both signed and photo-matched. Both CCM Lefevre Extreme Flex III models in Aves colours with “Bernier” embroidered into each, the blocker has some red discolouration to the palm along with numerous puck marks across the face, while the glove sports heavy dark marks along with some red paint transfer within the pocket. Each has also been signed in white, the blocker, over the front of the wrist guard, the trapper, over the back of the wrist section. A signed LOA from Jonathan Bernier will accompany.
Each item has been initialed in black marker by Kay Whitmore, with the former netminder serving in his capacity as the NHL's senior director of hockey operations and goaltender equipment. Regarding the photo-match for the blocker, Getty Image #947932994 from April 14th 2018 (Western Conference First Round) has been matched to a number of visible marks. For both the glove and blocker, Getty Image #947284560, also from April 14th, has been matched to a number of visible marks on both items.
