Featuring one of the most beloved Habs throughout Montreal’s century love affair with the Bleu Blanc Rouge, Maurice Richard remains the only player in NHL history to have a riot unfold in his honour. We have a pair of attractive framed displays, with each featuring the signature of the Original Six icon. Titled “For the Love of the Game”, the first display feature’s a print by Daniel Parry, with The Rocket pictured during a somber dressing room moment. Signed beneath in pencil by Richard along with his brother Henri and the artist, the print has been numbered “4/30 C.E.” over the lower left, framed to full dimensions of approx. 25” x 32”. Some water staining is visible over the bottom left portion, with a large crease over the upper right, along with some general warping to the print. The second display feature’s a colour print of Maurice along with longtime Leafs rival Allan Stanley, with both signing over their respective image in gold, with no issues for the large signatures. A name plaque has been inserted beneath, with the print double-matted and framed to full dimensions of roughly 23” x 29”. With no issues for the photo itself, the frame exhibits wear, with some chipping and loss to the material in spots.
