Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Featuring Montreal’s best remembered player throughout the city’s nearly century-and-a-half of hockey history, we have a Montreal Canadiens jersey that has been signed by legendary HOFer Maurice Richard. A home example produced by Pro Player, “54” sizing remains affixed to the collar, with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Richard” across the nameplate in single white twill. Originating from stock (numbers and team crests) sent by fellow Hab Murray Wilson early in 2000 to Richard’s agent Jean Roy and to be used for fantasy camp jerseys, Richard has signed within the top of the crest in black marker, with the signature bleeding into the material somewhat. With no unsightly wear to the jersey itself, a signed LOA from Murray Wilson will accompany.
