Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Part of the combination with Pat Stapleton that made up one of the best defensive duos of the 1970s, Bill White managed 25-points a season throughout the early-1970s while with Chicago, very impressive for a blueliner. We have a stick used by the Toronto native during his time in The Windy City circa mid-1970s. A Wilson Pro Select model, “White” appears stamped onto the upper shaft near handwritten “2”, with additional stamps from supplier Gunzo’s on either side of the shaft. A pattern number of “4139” also appears along the underside, with the original black tape in place over the blade and white over the handle and knob, with the striping accents in Hawks colours intact. Light use is exhibited, with a few dark marks over the lower shaft along with wear to the taped section of blade.
