Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Known affectionately as “Trotts”, Bryan Trottier was instrumental in helping lead the New York Islanders to their four-consecutive Stanley Cup dynasty in the early-1980s. We have a signed stick used by the Calder Memorial Trophy winner in the early-1980s. A KOHO Silverfibre model, “B Trottier” appears stamped-on, with his number “19” handwritten beneath. Retaining the original black tape over the blade and white cloth over the knob and handle, a date stamp also appears along the underside, and it appears to read “9 Dec 1981”? Great use is exhibited on the heavy lumber, with thorough wear to the blade along with numerous marks over the shaft and heel section. Paint transfer is also visible, with a small crack at the top of the heel section along with a pair of gouges to the upper shaft. Trottier has signed the front side of the shaft in black marker, adding “Best Wishes”.
