Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Seeing plenty of use throughout the mid-2000s, we have a Detroit Red Wings practice jersey that was first worn by Matt Ellis in 2005, and later Dan Cleary from 2006-08. A size “56” label sits affixed to the collar, with Reebok crests over the upper front and reverse, along with “56” and “39400” over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the attractive winged-wheel team crest with embroidered detailing, the heavy-knit jersey also sports “Cleary” on the affixed nameplate over verso, along with “11” in tackle twill. A few marks are visible over the front and sleeves, with a pair of small slits near the left elbow. The original “Ellis” nameplate that was once affixed to the jersey is also included along with a COA from the Red Wings.
