Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

A complete set of (English) Coke caps leads this stash, with almost all displaying quite nicely/uniformly and held in an original flimsy plastic “rink”, the edges of which have been cut-away, with cracks and tears, the latter affecting, notably, most of the top row of the Maple Leafs team set. Low grade caps to possibly upgrade are those of Hull, G. Tremblay and Pronovost. Chronologically, near complete sets of Lipton Soup cards (50/51) and O-Pee-Chee WHA cards (61/66) are next and from '74-75. The challenging (to cut from soup boxes back in the day) Liptons are a Salming variation shy from being complete, with a crease spotted in keys Orr, Dryden and Tony O., with however some decent crease-free stars among the rest. A VG to EX-MT range for the WHAs, with however the Howes (#1) and Hull creased, the same as the low grade marked checklist. Wayne Gretzky stars in a classic 50-card “Neilson” set, as well in five Oilers Red Rooster sets; '82-83 (2), '84-85 (2) and '85-86, all of them, like a '82-83 Post NHL Stars in Action set and two '85-86 7-Eleven sets of 25, still wrapped up from back in the day and looking problem-free. There are also round and square-corner '77-78 OPC insert sets and an '82-83 Post mini card set, while an array of other cards, stickers and surprises complete.
