Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

Talk about a moment frozen in time, Bobby Orr’s 1970 Stanley Cup-winning overtime goal at Boston Garden is one of the most iconic photographic images in sports history. The photo has everything, Orr, the most heralded phenom in hockey history to that point flying through the air like Superman after he delivered on all his promise by winning the Stanley Cup for the Boston Bruins in the most spectacular fashion – a goal scored on Hall of Fame goalie Glenn Hall just 40 seconds into overtime in Game 4 of the 1970 Stanley Cup final. Orr’s marker signature sits on the ice below the image of him soaring in celebration, helped on his trip by St. Louis Blues defenseman Noel Picard, in this big autographed photo, which has a Steiner hologram sticker affixed to the bottom right corner. The photo displays to 14 3/4" x 18 3/4" as mounted in the matte of the 22” x 26” frame, which has a few scuffs and scratches.
