When Frank Mahovlich scored for the Toronto Toros with this puck on November 24, 1974 it gave him a combined total of 544 goals in the NHL and WHA to tie Maurice “Rocket” Richard’s career total. Mahovlich’s milestone tally was his second goal of the game in a 9-2 road win against the Indianapolis Racers at Market Square Arena. Originally from Frank Mahovlich’s collection, this Biltrite WHA official game puck has a Racers crest over “Made in Canada” on one side. The WHA crest on the other side has, “544th Goal Tied Maurice Richard 3rd Place Record, Nov. 24, 1974” handwritten in ballpoint. Only Gordie Howe and Bobby Hull had more career goals at the time. Comes with Frank Mahovlich’s signed LOA.
