Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2003-04 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Arguably the most desirable uniform in hockey, we have a pair of Habs sweaters, with Davis Drewiske’s 2014-15 Montreal Canadiens game-worn home jersey (most likely worn in training camp), along with an away example that was issued to the Wisconsin native. Each jersey features size “56” tagging along the collar with handwritten “3”, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, both V-neck sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Drewiske” across the nameplate of each in single twill. Game-issued and never worn, the away example remains in gorgeous condition, while the home jersey exhibits very light wear, with a small burn near the left breast. Team patches on the “Set 3” jerseys numbered “A03588” (home) and “A03593” (away) sit on the inside hems, while holograms affixed to the reverse numbers of each match the accompanying LOAs from the Canadiens.
