Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2003-04 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Hailing from the 2013-14 NHL season, we have a pair of Canadiens away jerseys with an example worn by Ryan White, along with a jersey that was issued to and prepared for Jeremy Gregoire’s use. Each jersey features size “56” tagging along the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, both V-neck sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with each respective player’s name across the nameplate in single blue twill. The White jersey exhibits a few faint marks over each sleeve, along with board burns with a small resulting hole over the right shoulder. The Gregoire jersey was never worn, and it remains in wonderful condition. Team patches that sit on the inside hems are numbered “A03406” (White) and “A05063” (Gregoire), while holograms affixed to the reverse numbers of each match the accompanying LOAs from the Canadiens.
