Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
The premiere selection at the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, netminder Rick DiPietro enjoyed parts of 11 seasons on Long Island, with recent time spent on ESPN 98.7 FM as a NY sports talk show host. We have an Islanders jersey that was worn by the Winthrop native in 2003-04, where he appeared in 51 regular season games. “Goalie Style” labeling along with a size “60” fly tag grace the collar, with KOHO and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with the familiar Long Island team crest with embroidered detailing, the “Third Set 1” tie-neck has been accented with navy tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers with white trim, with “DiPietro” across the affixed mesh nameplate in matching material. A few marks are present over and below the team crest, with heavy pilling over each cuff. A patch from MeiGray numbered “B05771” sits over the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany.
