Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Involved in the trade that sent Roberto Luongo to the Florida Panthers in 2000, Oleg Kvasha Spent 5 seasons with the New York Islanders before a final NHL season with Phoenix. We have a signed Islanders jersey that was worn by the Russian in the 2001-02 Stanley Cup playoffs. Size “58” labeling graces the collar, with CCM and NHL crests over the back neckline and reverse bottom hem respectively. Styled with the famous Long Island team crest with embroidered detailing, the white “Set 1” V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with an alternate patch over the right shoulder. Heavy marks are present over each sleeve along with faint board burns, with a bit of blood staining just above the team crest. There is also a large stick mark over the lower reverse along with some minor blue paint transfer over the upper left sleeve. Oleg has signed within the reverse “2”, with the signature blending into the background somewhat. The team patch sits over the inside hem signed by equipment manager Joe McMahon, with an LOA to accompany.
