The late Pelle Lindbergh’s dedicated autograph and a couple of vintage Wayne Gretzky autographs are included in this lot featuring two multi-signed programs from the 1985 NHL All-Star Game Benefit Dinner in Calgary. Lindberg, Howie Meeker, Mike Bossy and Ray Bourque are among the nine autographs on the cover of one of the programs. Gretzky signed one of three included autograph sheets, as well as the top left corner of the cover of the other program that is autographed by 22, including fellow HOFers McDonald, Clarke, MacInnis, Coffey, Kurri, Anderson, Dionne, Fuhr and Hawerchuk. Also included are a Dionne signed sheet and a sheet signed by six including Lafleur, Robinson and Lapointe.
A huge Gretzky dedicated signature on a sheet of lined paper reads, “Hi Bill, Good Luck, Wayne Gretzky 99”. The top of the sheet reads, “To: Bill Dobin, From: Legal & Security: Bill – Wayne Gretzky sends his Best.”, along with an illegible signature. “0815 Hrs. 21-04-81” is handwritten on the upper right corner of the sheet of paper, which measures 10 3/4" x 8 1/2".
Dionne placed a big bold black ink dedicated signature that reads, “To Bill, A Great Hockey Fan, All My Best & Good Luck, Marcel Dionne” on a blank sheet of paper that measures 8” x 8 1/4" with a rough edge along the right side.
Lafleur’s dedicated autograph in bold blue ink on the upper right portion of a sheet signed by six members of the Montreal Canadiens reads, “To Bill Dolbin, With My Best Wishes, Guy Lafleur”. Larry Robinson, Guy Lapointe, Mark Napier, Brian Engblom and Robert Picard also signed the lined sheet with columns that measures 10 3/4" x 8 1/2" with “04-02-82” handwritten on the top left.
Gretzky and Dionne single-signed sheets and another sheet signed by Guy Lafleur, Larry Robinson and Guy Lapointe are also included.
Other autographs among the program cover signed by 22 include Andy Moog, Doug Wilson, Kevin Lowe, Randy Carlyle, Paul Reinhart, John Ogrodnick, Mike Krushelnyski, Steve Payne, Thomas Gradin, Paul MacLean and Miroslav Frycer.
Also included are a Lester Patrick Award Dinner program with a dress code insert, and a ticket from the 37th Annual NHL All-Star Charity Dinner in Calgary on February 11, 1985.
