With the modern game seeing it’s origins in 15th century Scotland, the sport of golf first witnessed the 18-hole round at St Andrews in the mid-18th century, with the first major and world’s oldest tournament the British Open. We have a trio of different limited-edition framed prints (5 total with duplication) that wonderfully outline the history of the PGA, British Open and U.S. Open. With each print at roughly 7 ½” x 13 ½” (exposed) and framed to full dimensions of 10 ¾” x 16 ¾”, attractive artwork along with inserted photos and an interesting timeline tell the history of each, with all of the game’s past legends pictured including Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Gene Sarazen, Walter Hagen, Old Tom Morris, Harry Vardon and many others. As mentioned, there are 5 total frames, with a single example for the British Open, and 2 each for the U.S. Open and PGA. Produced by Kevin Peddicord, each was limited to a 1000 copies, with a COA affixed to the reverse of each listing the limited-edition number.
