Celebrating history’s most successful hockey nation, we have a wonderful collection of Team Canada items spanning from the Summit Series in 1972, right up until 2002. Included, we have six framed displays including examples signed by Paul Henderson and Vladislav Tretiak and a multi-signed card display (Orr, Clarke, Hull, Vachon and Sittler), 2 unopened boxes of Future Trends Team Canada 1972 cards, two unopened boxes of Future Trends cards from the second series, for 1974. This is followed by McDonald’s Team Canada medallions from 1998, 4 Esso Team Canada mini binders from 1998, a dozen still-sealed Team Canada player pucks and 16 Team Canada bobble heads from 2002.
The displays include a famous image of Henderson scoring his iconic goal (18” x 22”), with Paul signing in pencil and the limited-edition number of “387/1972”, framed to 26” x 32”. The second display feature’s Henderson and Tretiak and is entitled “The Shot heard around the World”, with both signing in pencil, framed to full dimensions of approx. 21” x 27”. Next, the third display features a wonderful image of Tretiak, with the HOFer adding a huge black marker signature, framed to final dimensions of approx. 20” x 24”, while the fourth display is a drymounted 1974 Team Canada poster (14 ½” x 22 ½”). The framed multi-signed card display includes cards from the 1976 Canada Cup series (Orr, Clarke, Hull, Vachon and Sittler), with each signed, framed to 13” x 14”. The final display includes a signed Perreault card along with a Team Canada team card from the initial Future Trends series, framed to 7” x 11”. Varying degrees of wear is present within the displays, with the Tretiak/Henderson example loose and dislodged beneath the matte. Each display also shows moderate wear to both the glass and frame. The bobble heads exhibits storage wear, with some light damage along with toning and dirt staining to the boxes. The pucks include examples for Gretzky (2) Lemieux/Niedermeyer (2) and others, while the bobble heads feature examples from Lemieux (2), Yzerman (3), Niedermeyer, Joseph, Pronger, Kariya, Nolan and Rob Blake (6).
