Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Always a hit with collectors, we have a great group of vintage pucks totaling 8, along with three boxes (flattened) including two Monarch examples along with a Northland box. Highlighted by a circa 1930s CCM example with the logo pressed into one side along with “Official”, there is also a 1950s/60s Monarch puck with similar side stamping, two additional CCM examples from the 1960s with screened-on logos, an “Official” puck side-stamped, two 1960s Monarch pucks with rubberized logos and a vintage circa 1940s/50s Northland “Official” example with side-stamp. As mentioned, the Northland puck is accompanied by its original box now flattened, with both torn and missing flaps. The two Monarch boxes are flattened as well, but remain complete, with one example showing heavier toning/discolouration. The pucks all show varying degrees of wear, with small chips out of the Northland, Monarch (side stamped), CCM (1930s) and “Official” examples. The 1960s Monarch pucks show just very light wear with clean logos.
