Goodies galore here, with Shirriff coin sets leading the way. A 1960-61 set displays well in coin holders and 20-pocket sheets, although we spot evidence of glue on the backs of some 40 coins, with Montreal and Chicago subjects glue-free. Mostly VG and EX metal coins from '62-63, with a few NM Maple Leafs to discover. Eight Canadiens pinback buttons from the early-'70s include six Hall of Famers, with nine from '81-82 also sought by Habs collectors. York octagon-shaped cards (21) are mostly low grade, while a set of 20 WHA mini-posters from '73-74 is VG to EX. O-Pee-Chee inserts include a puck sticker (Angotti), 21 booklets (P. Esposito, Plante, Dryden (2), Howe (2), Orr), five team logos, nine player crests (P. Esposito, Park) and complete round and square corner sets from '77-78. Also present are sets of '81-82 Post NHL Stars in Action, '80s Oilers Red Rooster (4 different), '85-86 7-Eleven and Jets police (2), with more details available on our website.
The York entries include 11 “yellow backs” from '61-62, (all but one has back damage from having been glued), while nine of ten '63-64 white backs feature peanut oil stains. The '70s Canadiens pinbacks exhibit light to moderate handling/wear and include Beliveau, Richard, Cournoyer, Savard, Worsley, Vachon, Ferguson and Backstrom, while the '80s pins are highlighted by Lafleur, Lapointe, Robinson and Gainey. The '71-72 booklets are mostly VG to EX with a few NMs and are the French versions. Lipton Soup cards from '74-75 total 11 but most have had their borders trimmed-off. Condition appears to be tiptop for the (10) aforementioned small miscellaneous sets. All sorts of possibilities here.
