An absolutely wonderful gathering of items featuring the most venerated of all Montreal Canadiens, we have a desirable Maurice Richard collection totaling over 80 items, including harder-to-find examples along with a few signed pieces. We have a vintage Rocket puzzle with box, A pinback from Richard night in 1951 (no ribbon), a full set of Richard playing cards including jokers with the original box – signed, vintage pucks including a signed 500th commemorative example (1955) and “005/200” official signature puck, a limited-edition Montreal Classic watch “347/1924”, low-grade examples of Richard’s 1952-53, 1954-55 and 1960-61 Parkhurst cards, a signed 8” x 10” photo (with Beliveau) and multi-signed 8” x 10” image of Bill Barilko’s famous goal – also signed by Watson, Gardner, and Emile Bouchard, and so much more!
There are also 9 vintage photos including a desirable 1943-44 Paul Stuart supplement and 1946-47 Habs team photo, along with 6 postcards with 2 signed, including a vintage Dow Brewery example. This is followed by approx. 50 modern photo copies, along with a beat-up Art Ross practice puck from the early-1960s and copies of three paperback books, with Maurice Richard (Fitkin) and L’epopee des Canadiens (2 – 1949 and 1955). The puzzle is missing two pieces, with the box in fair/good condition. The signed pucks both exhibit nice signatures, with wear to the 500th goal example. The watch comes in its original display box with limited edition certificate, with moderate to heavy wear to the watch itself, with the dial heavily faded. The vintage postcards and photos show expected handling wear with the photos also showing creases and corner wear, with the Dow Brewery postcard signed simply “M Richard”, with an impression beneath the second signed postcard, as Richard apparently had to change to a working pen.
