Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
One of hockey’s most prestigious groups, the 500-goal scorers club currently has 45 members, with Maurice Richard the first to breach the lofty total during the 1957-58 NHL season. We have a wonderful group of 17 signed pucks featuring members of the special club, with this offering constituting over one third of the complete membership! With mostly InGlasCo models with a few from Trench, each puck feature’s the respective player’s team logo, with the majority of the signatures fashioned in silver paint pen (with some adding notations). Included are signed pucks from Perreault, Goulet, Howe, Mikita, Bossy, Bucyk, Trottier, Béliveau, Lafleur, Robitaille, Jagr, Dionne, Mahovlich, Turgeon, Esposito, Bobby Hull and the man who started it all… Maurice Richard. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
The majority of the signatures display well, with the Howe a somewhat weaker example. The pucks themselves remain in excellent condition, exhibiting just expected handling wear.
