Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Colorado Rockies forward Wilf Paiement’s Team Canada game-worn jersey is from the 1977 IIHF world championship. Paiement scored five goals and had 10 points and 32 PIMs in 10 games for Canada, which finished in fourth place in Vienna in its return to the top international hockey tournament after a seven-year absence. There is no more tagging in the collar of his stretchy nylon jersey, which measures out to a size 48 and has a customized right sleeve cuff. The nameplate with white vinyl letters is composed of three red nylon portions. Game wear shows in black marks and reddish-brown stains on the front and both sleeves, and red paint transfer on the front.
Heat-screened vinyl logos, numbers and “Canada” on each sleeve have stood up very well on this 40-year-old international gamer.
