Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

A Memorial Cup winner with Kamloops in both 1994 and 1995, Nolan Baumgartner also received CHL Defenceman of the Year honours back-to-back in 1995 and 1996. We have a Washington Capitals jersey worn by the Calgary native in 1995-96, a season where he saw action in just a single regular season game along with a single playoff contest. Also included, we have a goal stick used by longtime backstop Don Beaupre while also playing for Washington. The jersey has a Maska Air-Knit label along the collar with “54” sizing, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with an attractive Capitals team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with stylized tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate patches over each shoulder. Exhibiting a few faint marks along with board burns with a resulting small hole over the right sleeve, the team stamp is visible behind the team crest, and it denotes the garment as a “Set 1” example. The Christian model stick was used in the early-1990s, with “Beaupre” over the shaft along with handwritten “33”. The original white tape over both the blade and knob remains intact, with additional red cloth tape over the handle. Moderate to heavier use is exhibited, with numerous puck marks over the taped section of blade along with wear to the underside. There are also a few spots of red paint transfer over the upper shaft.
