Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
One of the oldest professional sports teams in North America during their tenure, the Ottawa Rough Riders were originally formed in 1876, with the club’s first Canadian championship won while still in the Victorian era, in 1898. We have a Rough Riders number #76 jersey that originates from the mid-to-late-1980s. A Champion “XL” label sits over the lower left front, with a second embroidered Champion crest just above the right breast. Featuring rubberized Riders logos over each sleeve along with matching red and black striping bands, “76” in heat-pressed vinyl numerals appear over the front, sleeves and reverse. Absolutely hammered from use, wear is present over the front and left sleeve’s numbers, with considerable clusters of team repairs over the shoulders, sleeves and upper chest.
