Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
One of Montreal’s favourite son’s was honoured on the night of Feb 23rd 2008, when Bob Gainey’s number 23 was retired and raised to the rafters of the Bell Centre. This Canadiens jersey was worn that very evening by Mark Streit. A CCM size “56” tag rests along the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famous CH team crest that’s been partially embroidered, the solid red V-neck has been accented with attractive dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the important Bob Gainey “23” patch residing over the right breast. The team patch numbered “A01034” sits on the inside hem, with a matching LOA from the Canadiens organization to accompany.
With just a single small mark within the base of the team crest, the jersey remains in wonderful condition.
