Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Formerly an assistant coach with the New York Islanders, Dean Chynoweth also suited up for the club, appearing in parts of 7 different seasons. We have a signed Islanders jersey that was worn by the Calgary native in the late-1980s, circa 1989-90. Maska Air-Knit tagging with handwritten “52” is affixed to the collar, with an embroidered CCM crest over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the iconic Long Island team crest in tri-colour tackle twill, the blue V-neck has also been accented with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with “Chynoweth” across the nameplate in single white twill. Marks are present over the lower front and sleeves, with a small hole resulting from a board burn near the right elbow. The right cuff has also been repaired. Chynoweth has signed the reverse number in black marker, and the signature is flawless. An LOA will accompany.
