The Edmonton Eskimos claimed the 10th of their 14 Grey Cup titles in 1987 when Jerry Kauric kicked a field goal on the last play of the game. Henry “Gizmo” Williams set a Grey Cup record with a 114-yard return of a missed field goal attempt to give the Eskimos an early lead on their way to a 38-36 win over Toronto at BC Place in Vancouver on November 29. This spectacular 1987 Eskimos Grey Cup championship 10-karat gold and diamonds ring that weighs approximately 50 grams was awarded to NHL and CFL athletic therapist Gerry Kurylowich. A total of 15 diamonds are set in the raised gold Eskimos logo set in the middle of the green stone on the tableau. “Edmonton” and “Eskimos” is on the upper and lower bezel, and “Grey Cup” and “Champions” are on the left and right bezels. "10K" and the Jostens hallmark are stamped inside the size 11 1/2 band.
The diamonds have a .56 total karat weight. “Kurylowich” is stamped on the left shank above an enamel image of an Eskimos helmet, with “AS TH” stamped at the bottom. The right shank has the result of the game, “Eskimos 38, Argos 36” above an image of the Grey Cup with “87 CFL” on it and “75” in the background. Comes with a presentation box with “Championship Ring” on the cover in gold-colored lettering.
