Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
One of the modern era’s most successful teams, the Atlanta Braves can trace their history back to 1871 before the forming of the National League, when they were originally known as the Boston Red Stockings. We have a Braves team jacket from the 1980s, attributed to Bruce Sutter. A Wilson label with handwritten “40” remains affixed to the collar, with a size “44” fly tag placed adjacently. Featuring stylized “Braves” script across the chest in layered tackle twill, the solid blue button-up has a knit collar, cuffs and waist band. With just light wear exhibited, the jacket remains in gorgeous condition, with the finish worn on just a pair of fastening buttons.
