Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Hailing from the early-2010s TV mini-series that chronicled the life of hockey personality Don Cherry, we have a group of items that were used as props while shooting the series, including four different sticks and four different team pennants. The sticks include three player examples along with a goal stick, with just a single example an original CCM mid-1960s model, while the other three sticks (including the goal stick) are modern-made examples with vintage-style stamps and striping accents. The sticks all remain in very good condition, made to show wear/use. The roughly 24” soft-felt pennants include examples for the Hershey Bears, Rochester Americans, Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens, with just light wear present. As an added bonus and not associated with the Cherry series, we also have a vintage Winnipeg Jets trainers bag. In Jets colours with screened-on vinyl logos, the nylon duffel bag exhibits moderate wear, with an intact working zipper.
