Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Arriving in St. Louis early in 1996, Wayne Gretzky would play a total of 31 games in a Blues uniform before heading to Manhattan for his final three NHL seasons. We have a St. Louis Blues jersey signed by the iconic superstar. A CCM “Vintage” model, labeling with a size “52” fly tag is affixed to the collar along with an embroidered CCM patch over the back bottom hem. Featuring an attractive Blues team crest, the blue V-neck has been embellished with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Gretzky” across the nameplate in matching material. Wayne has added a beautiful blue sharpie signature within the middle section of the first reverse 9, and it display’s wonderfully with minimal bleeding. A hologram from WGA has been affixed just below the signature.
We should note light wear to the reverse numbers along with a single fabric pull on the upper chest regarding the jersey’s condition.
