Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Oh, what a career it was, elevating Derek Jeter to the status of legendary New York Yankee and earning the former shortstop extraordinaire a spot in Monument Park! Derek’s most important rookie card, the condition-sensitive 1993 SP foil card #279 has become one of the most popular and sought-after RCs in the 21st century, with this example featuring a perfect blue marker autograph. A Steiner Sports Memorabilia hologram has been affixed to the back of the card, which has been examined and encapsulated by PSA, the latter rating the bold signature a perfect “10”. The reverse informs of Jeter having been the first high school player and sixth overall taken in the 1992 draft. As for card condition, we spot miniscule touches at the four corners, some subtle light vertical scratches and edge wear below the “Premier Prospects” logo. You’ll be zeroing-in on the Derek’s image and his beauty autograph when this treasure arrives.
