Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

This 1971 Nebraska Cornhuskers national championship 10-karat gold ring features real diamonds. A ladies style ring, it weighs approximately 7 grams and differs from the ones presented to the players, including the likes of 1972 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rodgers, but has a tableau made in a similar way to players rings. A solitary diamond sits in a raised gold setting in the middle of the red stone on the tableau, while two diamonds, one on the left and one on the right, divide the words “National Champions” spelled out around the bezel. “NU” appears at the top of the right shank, and “1970-71” is on the top of the left shank. "LGB 10K" is stamped inside the size 6 band. Comes with a vintage box.
